The Somfy WireFree™ Solar Panel harnesses renewable solar energy to power WireFree™ motorized window coverings.

The solar (photovoltaic) panel is simply mounted on in the inside of the window opening and converts the sun’s light into electrical energy. The harnessed electrical energy is stored within a Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable battery (not included) which powers any Somfy WireFree™ motorized window covering, resulting in a maintenance-free, environmentally friendly alternative to disposable lithium batteries.
